MIDHURST COMMUNITY CHOIR

Midhurst Community Choir is the brainchild of mother and daughter Yvonne and Jess.  Having been involved with the Midhurst Players and MADhurst* for a number of years, they became aware of the wealth of talent in Midhurst.  Yvonne and Jess wanted to form the choir to bring the community together; making it open to all over the age of 16 with no experience required, just a love of singing.

In early 2017 MCC was awarded National Lottery funding enabling Yvonne and Jess to officially start the choir in March 2017.

​

We now have around 55 registered members, the majority of whom have performed in our sell-out concerts.

​

In addition to regular rehearsals and scheduled performances, MCC members often appear at other events such as the MADhurst Cabaret evening, the MADhurst Grand Finale and Midhurst Christmas Street Party.​​

​

We are a friendly bunch and love an opportunity to get together and chat at our regular social evenings.  We have also been known to have a night out at the theatre together too!

In 2024 a new Committee was formed and the choir leader line-up changed to include Judith Ellis.  Find out more about who's behind the successful choir below.

Since 2025, we have been raising funds, through our concert tickets, donations and raffle sales, for charities with a connection to Midhurst, the choir or its members.

​

2027 will be our 10th anniversary year and we are planning a big celebration in July! So do keep an eye on the website and our socials  for our ticket announcement.

*MADhurst is a month-long music, arts and drama festival to promote and celebrate music, arts and drama and the local community.
